
Mkhalele leads Bafana CHAN squad in high-stakes Egyptian showdown
Bafana Bafana’s CHAN team, under the guidance of assistant coach Helman Mkhalele, has been selected to compete against Egypt in a critical first-round African Nations Championship qualifier.
Supported by U20 coach Raymond Mdaka, the squad will first host Egypt at the Free State Stadium on 28 February, before traveling to North Africa for the return leg on 9 March 2025.
The team will convene in Johannesburg on 26 February and immediately relocate to Bloemfontein.
Following the home match, they will return to Johannesburg and remain in camp until their departure to Egypt on 6 March.
The winner of this two-legged encounter will advance to the second round of CHAN qualifiers scheduled for May 2025.
